Hi!
I am Carlota, a 24 years old Portuguese girl. My academic journey began with a degree in Psychology, which sparked my curiosity about human and animal behaviour, the mind, and the many factors that shape who we are. I am now pursuing a Master’s degree in Neuroscience, where I am excited to deepen my understanding of the brain and its incredible complexity. What motivates me most is the possibility of using this knowledge to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives and contribute to a better understanding of human and animal experiences and well-being.
Outside the academic world, I love sports, makeup, and reading. I enjoy exploring different styles, expressing my creativity, and finding ways to combine my interests with my everyday life. For me, there is something exciting about having different passions, whether that means challenging myself through sports, experimenting with makeup, or discovering new books. I believe that curiosity extends beyond what we study and that the things we enjoy can be just as important in shaping who we are.
I would describe myself as an enthusiastic, curious, and energetic person who is always eager to learn and try new things. I love discovering new perspectives, meeting different people, and embracing experiences that allow me to grow both personally and academically. Whether I am exploring the complexities of the brain, trying something new, or pursuing one of my many interests, I am always looking for opportunities to learn, connect, and challenge myself. Ultimately, I hope to combine my curiosity about neuroscience with my enthusiasm for life to contribute with something meaningful to the world around me.
