Lab Manager
I'm from Portugal and I'm the lab manager of our team.
I've first join the group as a master student in Biostatistics at the University of Lisbon. A way to study animal behaviour is by analyzing animal behavior, as cleaning behavior, by quantifying interspecific interactions among the fish, which are made through manual processing video recordings. In my master’s thesis my objective is to implement machine-learning tools to develop a semi-automated tracking system and behavior classification system to observe, record and classify collaborative cleaning behavior events. Thus, reducing the workload on the human and reducing human error while doing this by hand.
In my free time I like to play videogames and boardgames with friends, motorcycle rides, scuba diving and playing volleyball. I’m a perfectionist. Pasta is in 95% of my meals.
