Séverine Simeon

Hi! 

My name is Séverine, I’m from Haiti and I am currently doing a Master’s degree in Evolutionary Biology at the University of Lille. I'm currently at Laboratório Marítimo da Guia to complete my Master 1 internship.

Having a passion for marine biology, I believe there’s no better way to explore the ocean and all its wonders than through hands-on research. I aspire to contribute actively to scientific research and to develop conservation strategies that help protect populations and deepen our understanding of biodiversity in the face of today’s environmental challenges.

During my internship, I will be working with the team on analyzing the consequences of climate change on the cleaner fishes of the atlantic ocean, focusing on aspects such as cognition, behavior, and physiology.
