Hi, I’m Tânia!
Born and raised in Portugal, I’ve always been passionate about the sea and intrigued by the mechanisms behind the behaviours of sea creatures. With my innate curiosity and constant eagerness to understand the processes associated with social behaviour, during my master's, I've studied how cleaning interactions are influenced by sickness behaviour and social distancing as a strategy to prevent disease spread. For my PhD, I aim to understand how artificial light and noise pollution can influence cleaning mutualisms. On a more personal level, besides spending as much time as I can with my young daughter, I love to create unforgettable memories with my loved ones, for example, by cooking tapas to enjoy with a good wine in their company. I also love to read, practice cross training and travel.
